ABOUT ME

Movies are my life as I have now seen over 4500 films.  My name is Sam Frink and I have created this website as a database for several different film related projects.  A little bit about me; I have a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in History, and a master's from Roosevelt University in secondary education.  I'm a former High School History teacher in both Illinois and California.

I have dedicated my life to the pursuit of knowledge and do so with a personal obsession with movies. 

For several years I have been constructing various projects.  The website focus' on several different ideas including a project called World Cinema with Professor Frink, where I curate movies from all over the world.  I'm an Oscars expert having seen every best picture winner, 96 in total, and nearly all of the 611 nominees.  My goal is to inform, pique curiosity, and curate films for individuals.  No matter the size of the film (smallest indie to the biggest blockbuster), genre, language; I've got you covered.

I will be posting think pieces as often as possible, various lists and guides for individual countries and regions with World Cinema.  If you love movies but haven't had the time or energy to find the best ones, I'm your man.   Thanks.
